Biography

Formed in 2016, High Reeper is made up of Zach Thomas, Justin Di Pinto, Tyler Yoder, Pat Daly and Shane Trimble. Originally started as just a studio band, it rapidly became apparent that these songs were meant to be heard live and loud.

The band made their debut in the Philly/DE scene in early 2017 with success which was followed up by the recording of their self-titled debut in May. Originally with a sound deeply rooted in modern stoner metal while still giving a nod to classic heavy metal records, High Reeper's first offering is driven by pounding rhythms, thick guitars and soaring, screeching vocals.
For their second record, the addition of Di Pinto on drums helped focus their sound in an even more powerful direction. The result was a record with riffs that are even heavier than before that explore new directions, including the ballad “Apocalypse Hymn”.

Supporting their first two releases with almost 90 dates over three tours in Europe alone; including stops at HPS Fests Rome and Innsbruck, Desertfest Berlin and Antwerp, headlining their venue at Desertfest London, Esbjerg Fuzztival and many other killer shows.

With 2021 came the release of a full on heavy metal assault in the split Doom Sessions Vol 5 (w Hippie Death Cult). It subsequently saw Shane move from bass to guitar and Delaware/Philadelphia stand out Tyler Yoder was brought in to play bass on a permanent basis. Another US tour ensued and 2022 was capped off with a blistering set at Desertfest New York. Currently High Reeper are working on their highly anticipated third full length.
