BIOGRAPHY (English•Italian) So you're in the frozen food section of your local supermarket playing air guitar and singing at the top of your lungs. Or you're on a mission to find every mirror/window/reflective surface in your house just so you can strike your finest Mick Jagger pose. Or you feel like you're inside the lost soundtrack to Detroit Rock City, scamming your way to that Kiss concert and you don't care who is watching you. This is the effect the Small Jackets will have on you with their super-addictive debut, "Play at High Level" - a hi-octane mix of rock‚n‚roll, ragged soul and hell-for-leather riffing. Think Iggy raw, think AC/DC loud, think pure, uncompromising guitar mayhem hotwired to explode, think the amped-up party of the summer is here.
No strangers to the Italian rock scene, the Small Jackets formed in early 2000 when drummers Danny Savanas (Paul Chain) and Lu Silver (Thee Hairy Fairies) joined forces with guitarist David Piatto (N.O.I.A/Rebels Without a Cause) and bassist Nick Pucci. With two drummers and no singer, the resourceful (and multi-skilled) Lu downed sticks to become the singer and rhythm guitarist and the band was born.
After building a reputation for incendiary live performances in Italy, the band came to the attention of the newly formed Go Down records in 2003, who saw them as the perfect act to launch the label. They began work on "Play at High Level", when midway through recording, personal circumstances forced bassist Nick to quit, leaving the sessions to be completed by new recruit Rob Nobody (Sartana). "Play at High Level" is nine tracks of bullet proof song writing - from the supercharged accelerator "Extra Miles", to the dirty swagger of "Jones Coming to Town", to the instant hook of "Tell Me Baby", this is the true spirit of rock 'n' roll, delivered straight from the heart, with no time for shallow trends or fickle scensters. The Small Jackets have been playing extensively in Italy, opening for Hardcore Superstar, Dollhouse, STP and label mates OJM, while they were recently united onstage with Nicke and Robban from kings of Scandinavian rock 'n' roll, The Hellacopters The pair were in Italy for some DJ sets, and joined the band to play "Gimme Shelter" with them -guess you could say they got a "Royale" seal of approval

Hard/rock 'n' roll genuino, questi sono gli Small Jackets.
Il nucleo si forma ad inizio nel 2000 dal batterista Danny "Savanas" (impegnato per diversi anni come batterista ufficiale nei progetti discografici dell'eclettico Paul Chain) e da Lu. Silver (batterista-cantante nel gruppo beat Thee Hairy Fairies) qui voce e chitarra ritmica. Il 2003 si conclude con un uscita imprevista: lo staff del sito web www.idbox.it, li inserisce nella compilation "Idbox.it Compilation Vol.I" con la canzone "Tell Me Baby", assieme ad Afterhours, Giardini di Mirò, Yuppie Flu, Julie's Haircut e Perturbazione. Fu durante un concerto che, l'etichetta Go Down Records il notò definendo per Marzo 2004 l'uscita di "Play At High Level", primo disco ufficiale della band e prima produzione per la neonata label, da settembre distribuito in tutta Europa.
La critica musicale estera ed italiana accoglie "Play At High Level" con molto calore ed ottime recensioni (rumore, mucchio selvaggio, Rocksound, All Music, Rockstar, Music lava, Stonerrock, ecc), "prima scelta" su rockit che muovono diverso interesse sui quattro…Suonano tanto dal vivo ed inseriscono il giovane e fantasioso chitarrista Eddy Current, proponendo infuocati e memorabili live show, dividendo il palco con importanti band della scena rock n roll come BLACK REBEL MOTORCYCLE CLUB, HARDCORE SUPERSTARS, DOOLHOUSE, NICK ROYALE & ROBBAN degli HELLACOPTERS (con cui hanno suonato insieme "Gimme Shelter" dei Rolling Stones), GORILLA, THEE STP, ONE DIMENSIONAL MAN ed i compagni di squadra ed amici OJM. A ottobre 2005 entrano in studio per incidere i primi brani del nuovo album.

I Losfuocos nascono nel settembre del 2002 a Lodi. Marco, Daniele e Michele, classe ’83, provenienti da esperienze musicali differenti, decidono di trovarsi a suonare cercando di far confluire le loro personali influenze (punk rock, metal, hardcore, hard rock) in un unico suono, un rock’n’roll fortemente ispirato da gruppi scandinavi come the Hellacopters, the Peepshows, Gluecifer e da vecchie glorie come MC5, Radio Birdman e Stooges. Nel 2003 registrano un primo demo “Sex, fire and rock’n’roll”. Sono ancora molto evidenti le tracce di punk e hardcore. Comincia contemporaneamente la gavetta: suonare dal vivo in qualsiasi posto venga concesso a Lodi e Milano senza ricevere alcun compenso. Con l’aggiunta di un secondo chitarrista la band prosegue e scrive i nuovi pezzi per un secondo demo “All bands play, Losfuocos kill” che uscirà nel 2004 e conterrà altri 4 pezzi. L’attività live prosegue ma la scrittura dei pezzi e la crescita del gruppo ha bisogno di una scossa. Con il ritorno della formazione “power trio” i Losfuocos si dedicano alla stesura dei pezzi, alle prove assidue ed a una fittissima attività sui palchi di tutta la lombardia. Verso la fine del 2005 il gruppo entra così in studio per registrare “Peechoopachoo”, un ep di 5 pezzi che riassume tutto il lavoro fatto fino a quel momento anche per quanto riguarda la ricerca dei suoni. La qualità del prodotto è nettamente superiore al passato e una tiratura di 500 copie permette una buona distribuzione. Arrivano i primi risultati: interessamenti da tutta Italia, le date si moltiplicano e i Losfuocos possono oltrepassare il confine per suonare tre shows in Germania. Oltre al fortunato minitour oltreconfine (di spalla ad una band americana, i Bullets To Broadway, ex Teen Idols), la band suona assieme a thee S.T.P., Gerson, One Dimensional Man, Super Elastic Bubble Plastic, Malfunk. Durante il 2006 La Go Down Records (OJM, Small Jackets, Gorilla) si accorge di loro e propone l’uscita di un disco vero e proprio per il 2007. I Losfuocos raccolgono l’invito e si chiudono tutta l’estate in sala prove per scrivere i 10 pezzi che, uniti ad una cover, comporranno il primo full lenght album del gruppo. Il disco esce nel marzo 2007. I Losfuocos suonano in tutto il nord Italia insieme a bands come Small Jackets, OJM , Firebird (ex Carcass/Napalm Death/Spiritual Beggars), Michael Davis (storico bassista degli MC5!) e Gorilla (compagni di scuderia from UK).
